GOAL AND VISION (ICT)

GOAL AND VISION OF I.C.T IN GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS

After the implementation of the I.C.T under the P.I.C.T.E.S (Punjab Information technology and communication society) in Punjab, the scenario of the government schools had changed manifolds. The pace of imparting education have changed a lot. This drive have been like a shot in the arm for the students who came from the rural background, since there were no means to inculcate the I.T education in their areas especially schools.

  • The establishment of the I.C.T labs in the government schools have benefitted the students who have a burning desire to acquire the knowledge which was until some-time an alien due to lack of resources and financial constrains also

  • PICTES have had inculcated the computer education to the much needy students without compromising on the quality of the computers as well as the curriculum for the same.

  • The foresight for the implementation of the program in the government school was to make the students at par with their counterparts getting education in other affluent schools. To make them future ready, so that they can also proudly say that they have attained the knowledge of what the world is looking into.

  • With the world shrinking so fast, global village as it is called, the students are provided unlimited broadband connection on the labs so that they can know what’s happening around the globe in the field of education, sports, technology and other future related subjects. The students can thus decide about their future plans and aspiration as what they will do in the future.

  • The benefit of the ICT labs are not confined to students only but also for the teachers as well. With the help of latest technology teachers can also update themselves to prepare their students more in their respective subjects.
